29 Million People Say They Always Collect Packaging Waste Separately at Home
Within the scope of the cooperation protocol signed between ÇEVKO Foundation and Yıldız Technical University, Turkey's first Recovery Test and Research Center GETAM, which was implemented with the support of the Istanbul Development Agency and the Innovative Istanbul Financial Support Program, started its activities. Many needed tests can be performed at the center, from recyclability to recycled material content, from compostability to biodegradability.
The center, which brings together over 100 years of academic knowledge of Yıldız Technical University with more than 30 years of experience of ÇEVKO Foundation, hosts research and development studies, especially in the field of recycling. GETAM contributes to the development of innovative, more environmentally friendly products in terms of providing academic knowledge and meeting the demands of the industry, and adds a new dimension to sustainability-oriented Public - Academy - Industry collaborations.
